Crusoe is a filmmaker and Director of Photography specialising in commercial and documentary storytelling for brands, arts and music clients. His work centres on human‑led stories around community, the environment, craft, tradition and local culture, informed by an early background in photography.
His cinematography balances textured, intimate documentary work with more polished, precisely lit commercial projects, drawing on both natural/available light and controlled studio lighting. Whether working handheld on location or with a full crew on set, he aims for imagery that feels considered, cinematic and close to his subjects.
Crusoe’s projects span short and mid‑length documentaries, branded films, music videos and social content for organisations in the cultural and commercial sectors.
In 2019 he co‑founded DRIFT, a London‑based production studio focused on thoughtful commercial and corporate work, and he hosts Seasonal Shorts, an intimate quarterly short film competition platforming emerging documentary and artist filmmakers.
Since 2023, he has increasingly focused his own practice on short‑form documentary, developing films that explore contemporary stories of place, community and environment.
