Marisco Mayhem

Short Independent Documentary

Marisco Mayhem is an independent short documentary by following Olmo Pruneri as he returns to his hometown of Noia on Galicia’s coast to explore the unfolding shellfishing crisis devastating his community. Through a series of conversations with residents, fishers, and scientists, Olmo uncovers how climate change, pollution, and demographic decline are eroding both livelihoods and cultural identity in one of Europe’s most affected coastal regions. Blending personal observation with candid dialogue, the film offers an intimate portrait of a town adapting to environmental and social change while quietly confronting questions of belonging, loss, and resilience.

Marisco Mayhem will be screening in spring 2026

MARISCO MAYHEM - TRAILER

Kinder Rising Mass Trespass

Short Campaign Film | Documentary Commission

Commissioned by Right to Roam, this film joins the hundreds of people who took to Kinder Reservoir for a bold mass swim trespass, celebrating access to nature and challenging the rules that limit our right to roam and our right to swim. This is the story of Kinder Rising and the new generation of people challenging England's trespass laws. In the film, we meet two everyday people whose passions connect them to the outdoors, proving that you don’t have to consider yourself an activist to care about nature and access rights.

  • Jo, a wild swimmer, finds calm, joy, and belonging in the water.

  • Alex, drawn to adventure through bushcraft and walking, reflects on the land, mental health, and why freedom to roam matters.

Their stories, paired with footage from the event, show how a new generation is carrying forward the spirit of the original Kinder Scout Mass Trespass, fighting for access rights today.

Leaward

Independent Creative Short

Leaward is a quiet exploration of the River Lea and the surrounding neighbourhoods of Harringay and Tottenham, shot over the course of a single day without pre-production. Through encounters with local people and spaces, the film reflects on the texture and rhythm of an often-overlooked partof North London. Anamorphic lenses give a sense of openness and place, while an original score by local composer Chris Dennis, alongside ambient location sound, helps anchor the viewer in the environment. This is the director’s home, and the film is a personal response to it—guided in part by Leyla from Living Under One Sun, a local organisation, who speaks to the challenges and joys of the area, and the enduring importance of community.

Premiered at The Offbeat Folk Film Festival 2025 In London.
