Shot on an ARRI Amira in 16mm mode with vintage Canon zoom lenses, chasing the texture and atmosphere of classic vampire cinema. Several scenes - including the dining table and upstairs landing sequences - were lit primarily by candlelight.

The biggest challenge was creating darkness on one of the brightest days of the year. Working within a tight schedule and budget meant keeping camera movement simple while moving quickly between setups, which ultimately helped reinforce the film’s old-world, theatrical feel.

Some of our favourite moments came from the simplest solutions: cardboard cut-out keyholes, homemade shadow puppets and practical in-camera lighting tricks that transformed ordinary spaces into something a little more uncanny.
